Bank Sumsel Babel (BSB) together with the South Sumatra Provincial Government (Pemprov) held the 2026 Free Homecoming program. The free homecoming from BSB and the South Sumatra Provincial Government uses train transportation which of course collaborates with PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Regional Division III Palembang. PPS President Director of Bank Sumsel Babel, Marzuki, said that this free homecoming program was officially opened since February 4, 2026 for departure on March 17, 2026. This program is a form of concern from BSB together with the South Sumatra Provincial Government in helping the community celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah with family without the burden of transportation costs. "Through this free homecoming program, we want to share happiness with the people of South Sumatra. This is also part of Bank Sumsel Babel's commitment to supporting local government programs and providing tangible benefits to the community," said Marzuki on Saturday, February 21, 2026.

This collaborative program with PT KAI is expected to provide a safe, comfortable, and timely homecoming trip, while also encouraging the use of more orderly and safer mass transportation. Meanwhile, Aida Suryanti, Public Relations Manager of KAI Regional Division III Palembang, explained that this program offers two train services with a total of thousands of seats.

These are the Rajabasa train from Kertapati to Tanjungkarang with a capacity of 832 seats per day, and the Bukit Serelo train from Kertapati to Lubuklinggau with 624 seats per day. "With the available quota, the public is encouraged to register immediately to avoid running out of tickets," she said. Marzuki hopes this program will not only benefit the community economically but also strengthen the synergy between regional-owned enterprises (BUMD), the regional government, and state-owned enterprises (BUMN) in providing the best service for the people of South Sumatra.

"Hopefully this year's homecoming trip will be smooth, safe, and full of happiness," he concluded. Registration is carried out directly at the South Sumatra Provincial Transportation Office, Jalan Kapten A Rivai No. 51, Sungai Pangeran, Ilir Timur I, Palembang, by bringing the original KTP and Family Card. Participants are also required to follow the official social media accounts of the South Sumatra Provincial Government and the South Sumatra Transportation Agency.
