Bank Sumsel Babel Wins Two Prestigious Awards from the Financial Services Authority (OJK)

Jakarta, August 22, 2025 – The Regional Development Bank of South Sumatra and Bangka Belitung (Bank Sumsel Babel) has once again achieved national success. At the OJK Cares Awards held by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) at the Dhanapala Building, Jakarta, the regional bank won two awards.

The first award was won by Bank Sumsel Babel employee Magfirah Puti Gaisani as the Best Financial Literacy Ambassador (OJK Cares PUJK). This achievement demonstrates Bank Sumsel Babel's commitment to engaging the younger generation to promote financial literacy in the community.

Furthermore, Bank Sumsel Babel also placed third in the PUJK category for the Establishment of the Most Massive OJK Cares. This award was given in appreciation of Bank Sumsel Babel's active participation and consistency in supporting the financial literacy and inclusion movement initiated by the regulator.

Bank Sumsel Babel's Business Director, Suroso Djailani, expressed his gratitude for the recognition.

"Alhamdulillah (Praise be to God), this award is both a mandate and motivation for Bank Sumsel Babel to continue making a real contribution to improving financial literacy and inclusion. We hope this achievement strengthens Bank Sumsel Babel's role not only in South Sumatra and Bangka Belitung, but also at the national level," he said.

The awards ceremony took place solemnly and was attended by high-ranking state officials, including Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, and the Head of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for South Sumatra Province, who is also the Coordinator of the OJK for Southern Sumatra, Arifin Susanto. Their presence emphasized the importance of synergy between the government, regulators, and the financial services industry in strengthening public financial literacy and education.

The awards were presented directly by Friderica Widyasari Dewi, Chief Executive of the OJK's Financial Services Conduct Supervision, Education, and Consumer Protection Division, to the winners.

With this achievement, Bank Sumsel Babel further emphasizes its role as a regional financial institution that not only focuses on business performance, but also has a high concern for improving literacy, inclusion, and community welfare through financial services.
